Title: Furniture with integrated solar panel.
Description
The present invention relates to a piece of furniture with an integrated solar panel.
A well-known piece of furniture with integrated solar panel is disclosed in CN 2011445187, in which a sofa with a power output function is provided for charging external devices.
Another piece of furniture with integrated solar panel according to the present introduction is disclosed in WO 2011 096915. This document discloses a chair with provisions for converting solar energy into power for supplying electrical devices.
The known furniture with integrated solar panel described above has the disadvantage that the furniture cannot be used in many ways. An object of the present invention is therefore to provide a piece of furniture with integrated solar panel, which can be used in many circumstances. The stated object is achieved in that the piece of furniture with integrated solar panel comprises a use frame and a number of support elements, wherein the support elements are adapted to support the use frame, wherein the use frame is covered at the top with a use surface, such as a seat, and wherein piece of furniture comprises at least one solar panel for receiving sunlight coming in through the user surface, the user surface comprising an impact-resistant, heat-insulating, transparent plate which is connected to the user frame via a watertight coupling.
An advantage of the present invention is that by using a transparent plate, the at least one solar panel can be covered for users of the furniture. In addition, the transparent plate forms a barrier to the at least one solar panel, such that, among other things, vandalism and abuse of the furniture is prevented. For this reason, the transparent plate is an impact-resistant plate.
In addition, the inventor has realized that a solar panel generates a lot of heat in use, which heat is not directed to the user of the user surface by means of a heat-insulating plate. Finally, the use frame comprises a watertight coupling of the use surface with the use frame such that no condensation forms on the inside of the transparent plate. The advantage of this is that the efficiency of the at least one solar panel is not affected by this. The inventor has in fact realized that moisture accumulation on the inside of the surface of use, that is to say the transparent plate, has adverse effects for the incoming sunlight which is guided via this condensation to the at least one solar panel. Because this watertight coupling is present between the use surface and the use frame, no moisture accumulation will take place between them, as a result of which the efficiency of converting solar energy into electrical energy remains guaranteed. The heat-insulating function of the transparent plate can, in one example, be further formed by the fact that there is a space between the user surface and the at least one solar panel, which space is filled, for example, by air. The present air thus forms a heat-insulating function.
In an example of the invention, the furniture with integrated solar panel comprises spacers for creating a distance between the user surface, ie the transparent plate, and the at least one solar panel. The space mentioned above is thus guaranteed by means of these spacers.
The inventor has realized that in practical situations circles and / or spots may arise due to the contact between the transparent plate and the at least one solar panel when the above-mentioned space is not achieved over the entire surface between the use surface and the at least one solar panel. . The spacers ensure that this space is obtained.
The spacers can for instance be stickers with a predefined thickness which are arranged at different places on the at least one solar panel or on the transparent plate.
Another example could be a coating on the solar panel or the transparent plate, or (transparent) bumpers that are applied to the solar panel or the transparent plate.
In one example, the transparent plate is made of a polycarbonate and polyethyl methacrylate.
The advantage of a transparent plate made of these materials is that these materials comprise the required functionality according to the above-mentioned embodiment, such as impact-resistant, heat-insulating, and transparent.
In one example, the watertight coupling is formed by a mounting frame which, in use condition, clamps the transparent plate against the use frame.
The advantage of the above-mentioned example is, among other things, that the strength of the at least one solar panel is improved, i.e. the at least one solar panel is strengthened. In a detailing of the invention, the clamping takes place on all sides of the transparent plate, which subsequently has a positive effect on the said reinforcement. Such clamping reduces the deflection of the at least one solar panel and / or the transparent plate, as a result of which breakage will also occur less quickly.
In a further example, around and on the outside sides of the transparent plate, on a top side thereof, the transparent plate is rejuvenated, such that the mounting frame clamps the transparent plate in the rejuvenation.
There are several advantages to be gained from such a rejuvenation. In the first place, this creates a flat usage surface, so that no water accumulation will take place on the usage surface. The water present will be easily removed from the furniture due to this flat property. Secondly, a rejuvenation has the positive effect of improving the watertight coupling between the use surface and the use frame. To improve this even further, the mounting frame can be further mounted in the rejuvenation with the aid of a kit edge.
In a still further example, the transparent plate, around and on the outer sides of the transparent plate, is provided on a underside thereof with a facet edge, such that the transparent plate can be attached to the at least one solar panel by means of applying a seal, for example, a cement edge, into an opening provided by the facet edge.
The advantage of this is that the watertight coupling between the transparent plate and the use frame is further improved. The facet edge has the positive effect that the transparent plate can be attached to the solar panel with the aid of a cement edge, that is to say, space has been made for the cement edge. The facet edge can, for example, make an angle with the transparent plate of about 45 degrees. in the context of the current application, a seal can be formed with a sealant edge, double-sided tape, PUR material, all kinds of glue, and the like.
In a still further example, the at least one solar panel is formed by a glass-glass module, the transparent plate being attached to an upper side of the glass-glass module by means of the kit edge.
To further improve the watertight coupling between the transparent plate and the usage frame, it may be advantageous to provide a rubber, wherein the at least one solar panel and the transparent plate attached thereto are connected to the usage frame via the rubber. Because the composition of the transparent plate with the at least one solar panel can be further clamped by means of the mounting frame, the watertight coupling is further improved. The rubber between the use frame and the at least one solar panel serves to protect the at least one solar panel and to prevent watering in the frame to the electronics.
In another example, the usage frame is at least partially open on a underside thereof so that, among other things, no thermal bridge is created. In addition, such an opening has a positive effect on the removal of heat generated by the at least one solar panel.
In a further example, the usage frame is a flat box-shaped frame.
In the context of the present application, a flat box-shaped frame is a frame in which a height thereof is many times smaller than, for example, a length and width of the frame. In the context of the present application, the flat box-shaped frame can also be, for example, round or oval in which, in that case, the height of the frame is many times smaller than the diameter of the frame
In a still further example, the use frame comprises pivot elements such that the use frame can be opened.
The advantage here is that maintenance can be carried out on the inside of the user frame, for example maintenance on the at least one solar panel. These pivotal elements can be formed inter alia by pivoting pivot points present on an outside, for example a longitudinal side of the flat box-shaped frame, such that the opening is formed by pivoting an upper surface of the user frame by means of these pivot points.
In addition, maintenance can be carried out on any electronics present in the user frame, for example electronics for controlling or diverting generated power from the solar panel. in an example, the flat box-shaped frame is a rectangular frame, the rectangle being formed by the width and a length side of the frame, wherein a height side of the frame is many times smaller than the width side and the length side of the frame, wherein the The use frame further comprises a support beam in the longitudinal direction of the rectangular frame, which support beam is adapted to support the at least one solar panel and the service area.
The advantage of this example is that the dimensions of the field of use do not pose a problem for any mechanical forces, since the supporting beam will absorb these forces in the longitudinal direction of the rectangular frame. For example, a person who sits down on the seat surface, that is to say the service area, will be supported by the support beam, such that the transparent plate and / or the at least one solar panel will bend too far, for example such that it will break.
In a further example, the use frame comprises a voltage conversion circuit adapted to convert a voltage provided by the at least one solar panel by means of incoming sunlight.
This voltage-converting circuit comprises, for example, a direct voltage to alternating current converter, wherein, for example, the direct voltage generated by the at least one solar panel is converted to a 230-volt alternating voltage for connecting external electrical devices, such as, for example, an electric bicycle. In addition, the voltage converting circuit can convert a generated voltage from the at least one solar panel to another direct voltage, for example a USB voltage of 5 Volts, or the like.
In a still further example, the user frame comprises a battery for storing energy provided by the at least one solar panel.
The advantage of this is that the energy generated by the solar panel can be made available for a whole day. The solar panel will mainly generate energy during the period that a lot of incoming sunlight falls on the at least one solar panel. However, for example the control of a lamp will take place at other times, for example when sunlight is no longer available, whereby, by using a battery, electrical energy can also be provided during a period of the day when there is no sunlight on. the at least one solar panel falls. in a still further example, the voltage converting circuit is provided in the support bar.
The advantage of this embodiment is that the accessibility of the voltage-converting circuit is made more difficult, whereby the furniture with integrated solar panel is even better protected against, for example, vandalism, vandalism or the like.
In one example, the use frame comprises induction means connected to the at least one solar panel, for the inductive charging of an electrical device on the use surface.
These induction means can be included in the at least one solar panel, the use frame, the use surface or in the supporting elements thereof. in a still further example, the user frame comprises a communication module adapted to communicate with a mobile user device for activating / deactivating the voltage converting circuit.
In such a way, a user of a user device, such as a telephone, tablet, laptop and the like, when present, or in the vicinity of the furniture with integrated solar panel, can control it from the user device itself. Consider, for example, the control of a lamppost, fountain, other types of lighting, electrical outputs, etc.
In the case that the communication module is arranged to communicate via, for example, a telephone network, it is also possible to control the furniture with an integrated solar panel remotely, for example from home. in one example, lighting strips, such as LED strips, are provided on the ends of the transparent plate, the communication module being adapted to control these lighting strips. The lighting strips can, alternatively or in addition to the above, be activated with, for example, a timer or a sensor, or a mobile device.
In a still further example, the user frame further comprises a speaker module adapted to wirelessly receive and play audio data from a user device. This speaker module can also be used in combination with a button or sensor contained in the furniture with integrated solar panel, for activating sound fragments that are played through the speaker module. The piece of furniture with an integrated solar panel according to the present invention can be a table, a cube or a sofa.
In one example, the solar panel comprises bypass elements, for example in the form of diodes, such that certain parts of the at least one solar panel can be switched off. When applying, for example, three diodes, it is possible to switch three different zones of the at least one solar panel on and off separately from each other. The advantage of this example is that if a lot of shade is created at a certain place on the at least one solar panel, this place can be turned off, so that the remaining part of the at least one solar panel can still generate energy. The current of this generated energy does not have to go through the resistance areas of the shaded area, but can be diverted via the diodes.
The shaded area mentioned above can arise, for example, when a person takes a seat on the piece of furniture, i.e. on the transparent plate covering the at least one solar panel.
Figure 1 shows an underside of a part of a piece of furniture with an integrated solar panel according to the present invention.
Figure 2 shows a top view of a piece of furniture with integrated solar panel according to the present invention.
Figure 3 shows a cross-section of a part of the furniture according to the present invention, in which it is made clear how the watertight coupling is formed by means of the use frame, the rubber, the mounting frame, the at least one solar panel and the transparent plate.
Figure 1 shows a part of a piece of furniture with an integrated solar panel which comprises a use frame 1. The use frame 1 is covered at the top with a use surface 6, for example a seat surface. The use frame also comprises at least one solar panel (not shown) for receiving sunlight entering through the use surface 6, the use surface comprising an impact-resistant heat-insulating transparent plate which is connected to the use frame 1 via a watertight coupling. In the current example, the usage frame is a flat, box-shaped frame. This can be seen because the width 9 of the frame and the length 8 of the frame are relatively larger than the height 7 of the frame.
In addition, the use frame comprises a support beam 4 along the longitudinal direction 8 of the frame 1, wherein the support beam is substantially centered over a width direction 9 of the rectangular frame. The use of such a support beam 4 can be useful to support forces exerted on the use surface 6. Think, for example, of a user sitting on a bench, the user surface, whereby the weight of the user is absorbed by the support beam 4. As a result, the user surface, and therefore also the at least one solar panel, will not bend in the middle thereof , since the support bar 4 will receive it further.
The support beam 4 further comprises a voltage conversion circuit (not shown) which is incorporated in the support beam 4. The advantage of incorporating a conversion circuit in the support beam is that it is better protected against external influences, for example vandalism and the like. In addition, the provision of the conversion circuit in the support beam 4 is advantageous, because the support beam 4 can be made watertight on all sides, such that no rain of rain and the like can penetrate into the electronics of the conversion circuit.
The support beam 4 can also comprise a battery for storing energy from the at least one solar panel. This energy can be used to control all kinds of electrical devices, for example via the electrical outputs 23 contained in the usage frame 1. In the present example, the electrical outputs 23 are provided with cover valves, such that the electrical connections of these electrical outputs 23 are protected against vandalism and the like.
In the present example, the surface of use 6 is, among other things, a transparent plate, whereby a user who looks at the transparent plate 6 through the top can see through this, which gives an aesthetic effect to the furniture.
As can be seen in figure 1, the usage frame at the bottom is at least partially open, such that the at least one solar panel at the bottom is not covered by the usage frame. The advantage of this is that no thermal bridge is formed in this way.
Figure 2 shows a top side of a piece of furniture 21 with integrated solar panel according to the present invention. The furniture 21 comprises a use frame 26 and a number of support elements 22, wherein the support elements are adapted to support the use frame 26. In the present example, the furniture is a sofa in which the seat surface of the sofa is formed by the use surface 24 such that user can take place on this usage surface 24. A solar panel is mounted under this transparent plate, the user surface 24, which in operation generates energy by means of incoming sunlight for supplying all kinds of electrical devices.
Consider, for example, an electric bicycle which can be powered via electric output 27 such that the battery of the electric bicycle is recharged.
Figure 3 shows a cross section 41 of a part of the furniture according to the present invention, in which it is made clear how the watertight coupling is formed by means of the use frame, the rubber, the mounting frame, the at least one solar panel and the transparent plate.
The cross-section 41 of the furniture shows a usage frame 52, which usage frame forms the core of the furniture.
A use surface is formed on an upper side of the transparent plate 42, which use surface, in this example, extends over an upper side of the mounting frame 50.
The at least one solar panel is mounted under the transparent plate 42, which solar panel comprises a glass-glass module. This means that solar cells 44 are present between an upper glass plate 43 and a lower glass plate 45.
The object of the present invention is to create a watertight coupling such that water, for example rainwater, present on the use surface cannot find a way to the at least one solar panel.
This watertight coupling is formed inter alia in that the transparent plate 42 is provided with a facet edge 49, as a result of which the transparent plate in a space provided by the facet edge 49 is fixed to the at least one solar panel.
In addition, the watertight coupling is ensured by the use of a mounting frame 50, which mounting frame 50 clamps or presses the transparent plate against the use frame 52 by means of the opening 51.
The watertight coupling is further optimized in that the transparent plate is provided with a rejuvenation 47, such that the mounting frame 50 falls into this rejuvenation 47.
The advantage of this is that water present on the surface of use or on the transparent plate 42 can easily be led away, because the mounting frame 50 connects to the transparent plate.
In this detailed embodiment, the furniture further comprises a rubber 46, which rubber 46 also has the functionality to further improve the coupling between the at least one solar panel and the use frame 52.
Furthermore, in Figure 3 spacers 53 can be seen in the form of stickers for creating a space between the transparent plate and the at least one solar panel.
The present example shows a piece of furniture in the embodiment of a sofa, although according to the present invention these can be all kinds of furniture, such as a table, sofa, romp, cube, parasol, etc.
